I'm a lawyer with over 20 years of legal and compliance experience, including an in-house role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, a Fortune 500 technology company. I'm also a certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional, Canada (CIPP/C).

In my years of practice in technology companies and law firms, I watched traditional compliance struggle to keep pace with rapid product and technical innovation. I also watched too many startups and small-to-medium tech companies forced to compromise when the cost of professional compliance services exceeded what they could carry. When the AI era arrived, I saw two things at once: a wave of entirely new compliance risks for AI technology companies, and a real opportunity to help those companies meet them.
